Silver oxide (Ag2O3) thin films of optical thicknesses 0.1μm to 0.4μm were electrodeposited on a transparent fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) conducting glass substrate at room temperature from the silver solution. When the temperature of the solution was increased to 50ºC, the films optical thicknesses also increased ranging from 0.26μm to 0.44μm. The films gave a monoclinic structures of Ag3O4 and AgO films of (031) and (111) planes of reflections. Other optical measurements like absorbance, optical conductivity and extinction coefficient at 50ºC show increase in percentage when compared with the properties of the silver oxide thin films deposited at room temperature. The band gap decreased as the films thicknesses increased.en_US
